Ladies and Gentlemen… we have paint on the walls!

I took my time researching and picking out paint for the room because I really wanted it to be the BEST eco-friendly paint - I wanted the quality of the paint itself to be spectacular and the eco-standards to be the highest possible. I found that in ECOS paint, and I am so happy with my choice!

As far as the paint quality itself, I am blown away - I thought that by choosing a zero-VOC, glycol free, less chemically paint I would be sacrificing quality and wall coverage. Nope! The ECOS paint is thin - kind of like a heavy cream consistency, and it’s much thinner than any “optimal coverage” paints I have used in the past. Even though it’s thin, it covers extremely well and spreads much farther than standard big box store paints. I was concerned at first that one gallon would not be enough to cover the entire wall surface, but I actually only ended up using less than 2/3 of the can!

Aside from the paint quality, the customer service at ECOS is so great! Never before have I had so much helping picking the perfect paint! Initially I was unsure of which finish to choose, so they sent me tester pots with the two finishes I was between so that I could see them in my space. With the color I was so back and forth with what to do - I found a Benjamin Moore color that I liked, and the ECOS team offered to color match it, but they also sent me swatches of 4 of their paint colors that were similar to the Benjamin Moore color. In the end I chose Dried Grass from ECOS - it really is the perfect muted, neutral green that I was looking for!

Now that I have experienced ECOS paints it will be tough to buy anything else. I normally dread painting a room because of the various coats that need to be applied, the stench, and the messy cleanup, but painting with ECOS was a must faster, more pleasant experience! Read more about them here.

Now we head into the final week of the ORC!! I have a few things left on my list and I’m feeling confident that I will make it to the finish line!
